VITAL S.A., as Beneficiary of the project "Regional project for the development of water and wastewater infrastructure in Maramureş County", code SMIS 2021+ 322218, financed from the European Regional Development Fund through the Sustainable Development Program 2021—2027, signed on October 10, 2024: Work Contract MM-CL-04 “Design and Execution (including Technical Assistance from the Designer as per Law 10/1995) for the Potable Water Transport System Baia Mare-Satulung, Somcuta Mare-Miresu Mare-Ulmeni-Remetea Chioarului.

Contract value: 69,791,996.23 RON, excluding VAT
Execution period: 33 months, with a warranty period of 60 months.

Under the contract, the following categories of work will be carried out in the UATs:

  • Transport pipeline water , with a total length of 66,042 m.
  • Somcuta Mare (Rehabilitation of water storage reservoirs: 1×150 m³, 1×200 m³, 1×500 m³)
  • Baia Mare (300 m³ reservoir, pumping station, chlorination station)
  • Iadara (200 m³ reservoir, pumping station, chlorination station)
  • Tulghies (2x200 m³ reservoir, pumping station, chlorination station)
  • Remeti pe Somes (150 m³ reservoir, chlorination station)
  • Ariesu de Padure (150 m³ reservoir, chlorination station)
  • Finteusu Mic (Rezervor 1×300 mc şi 2×750 mc, Staţii de pompare, Staţie de clorinare),
  • Satulung (300 m³ reservoir, chlorination station)
  • Remetea Chioarului Rehabilitation — modernization of 300 m³ reservoir, pumping station)
  • Valenii Somcutei (1x300 m³ reservoir, pumping station, chlorination station)
  • Chelinta (300 m³ reservoir, chlorination station)
  • Ulmeni (2x200 m³ reservoir, chlorination station)

The fulfillment of the supply contract will support the achievement of objectives related to the quality of water intended for human consumption, under European directives (98/83/EC) (DWD) and (2020/2184) (recast) (DWD), as well as the treatment of urban wastewater (91/271/EEC) (UWWTD). Additionally, it will ensure the compliance of utilities with environmental requirements and the fulfillment of Romania's commitments under the Accession Treaty.

The works provided for in the contract aim at the construction, rehabilitation, and extension of drinking water and domestic wastewater networks in the localities of Coltău, Săcălășeni, Cicârlău, Seini, and Satulung, including a total of dozens of kilometers of distribution and sewer networks, pressure pipelines, new and rehabilitated pumping stations, hydraulic monitoring and control systems, as well as a water reservoir in the locality of Fersig.
